About Me

Rhea Katsanakis

I am an international single working mom of two wonderful children, aged 5 and 7. I am a certified Conscious Parenting and Life Coach and have 20 years of experience as a development worker, public speaker and educational facilitator in the area of resilience. I have worked in over 30 countries around the globe and was able to witness parenting approaches in many cultural settings. Nothing has been as convincing as the conscious parenting approach.

When I became a single mom three years ago, I first questioned my ability to be 'enough' for my children just by myself, and then had an epiphany. Most of the things I 'knew' about good parenting were just a repeat of my own childhood. And this is true for most parents.

What I know for sure now is that there is a different way and that is the conscious way, in which we break generational patterns and trauma, and guide our children to grow into resilient authentic human beings.

Conscious parenting, breathwork and connected play have transformed my life and my connection with my children for good.

It will be the same for you, I promise.

My Approach

Transformation starts with you. Children and their parents often communicate non-verbally, nervous system to nervous system. When the parent constantly gets triggered and acts out of control, the family nervous system is in a constant state of alert and children behave accordingly. The first relationship parents need to heal is the relationship with their own triggers. When the parent overcomes toxic patterns and the family nervous system moves into a regulated state, the real child connects, because a healed parent is a safe and truly present parent.

My coaching focuses on the parent NOT the child, but through the results the child's behavior will follow suit.

How 1:1 Coaching Works

Step 1 - Discovery Session

We will start with a free one-on-one online Discovery Session, in which we talk about your current challenges and goals. We will look at what is working and what is not, and how my coaching can support you in addressing your challenges and reaching your goals. I will also explain what conscious parenting and life coaching is and what it is not, and which tools I will typically use in coaching.

Step 2 - Tailored Coaching Plan

After the Discovery Session, I will create a coaching plan tailored to your needs and goals. It will focus on areas like, uncovering the origins of core beliefs and behavioral patterns, managing emotions and triggers, empowering yourself and building strong connections with your children.

Step 3 - Weekly Coaching Sessions

Based on your tailored coaching plan, we will meet for regular 60-minute coaching sessions. You will learn conscious parenting strategies and practical tools to regulate your nervous system to empower you to get from parenting burnout to joy and true connection.
